We are seeking volunteer mentors to meet one-on-one with high school students weekly throughout the school year. Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E. is a local nonprofit with a college prep mentoring program for low-income high school students (who will be first generation college students) at 5 schools in Dallas ISD.

Our goal is to help these 11th and 12th graders through the college application process by providing them with the resources, skills, and mentoring relationships necessary to prepare them for life after high school. We have a curriculum with each week already planned out for the Mentors, with a different activity or project each 9 weeks. We have a training/orientation session for all Mentors, where the projects and overall program will be covered in more detail. Our mentors serve as a source of guidance and support for the students and help them plan for their futures.

We had a successful year last year, and we are planning to kick off year two of the mentoring program in mid-October. We are currently seeking additional volunteer Mentors for students at Roosevelt.

Please email Megan Mader at *****@foundationforchoice.org if you are interested/for more information.

Thank you!
